MANUEL AUGUSTO REIS MIRANDA

The creator of this fashion project had long admired the way his three sisters dressed, a fascination that dated back to his childhood. When he was between the ages of nine and twelve, they would ask for his opinion on the garments they designed and handmade at home. Taking turns, each sister would appear before him—twirling to better showcase the quality and charm of the pieces—and ask for his assessment. He recalls that his views and "verdicts" were frequently heeded, given the great trust placed in his sincerity and impartiality.

In the family home, there was an old wooden handloom where the boy—then ten to twelve years old—often wove. Back then, in the 1950s, production consisted primarily of blankets—some for household use and others for sale—with carding being the most arduous process, requiring considerable physical effort.

This fashion project is grounded in a principle of identity, focusing on the creation of elegant, charming, and sophisticated *tailleurs*—suits designed for the classic woman in contemporary times. This fashion staple stands out due to various attributes: superior fabric quality, beautiful designs, flawless finishing, a commitment to entirely Portuguese production, appealing colors, and the inclusion of unique accessories—or a combination of all these elements.
